Wayne Fling Collection

The following documents were contributed to the Flow Measurement Technical Library by Wayne Fling.

Since these documents are very large, they are not available for download from this website. Anyone interested in receiving a copy of these files should contact the webmaster.

Documents in this collection include:

Orifice Plate Coefficient Study (1978)
Wayne A. Fling, Jr.
This project was started in August 1976 under the joint sponsorship of the API and AGA. The prime objective was to develop a new orifice coefficient equation capable of producing improved coefficient accuracy. The secondary objective was to use this new equation to update AGA Report #3 by making it more accurate and acceptable as an international method of fluid flow measurement for custody transfer.

1988 API (tabular and chart water data)
This document is a collection of API tabular and chart data.

1988 API (tabular and chart oil data)
This document is a collection of API tabular and chart data.

Research Program to Develop an Archival Database of Low Reynolds Number Discharge Coefficients and Related Parameters for Sharp-edge Flange-tapped Orifice Meters (1984)
Charlie Britton, Steve Caldwell, Walt Seidl, & Taft Snowdon; Revised by Wayne Fling
The purpose of this research program was to experimentally determine the discharge coefficients for sharp-edge flange-tapped orifice plates at low Reynolds numbers.

Collection of Correspondence for the Stolz "28" Equation Verses the Flange Tap Data Base (1992)
Collection of correspondence relating to the API/COGM WG 14.3 including charts and tabular data.

Collection of Correspondence Relating to API Orifice Project Final Report from 1986-1989

The Flow of Water Through Orifices (and related correspondence) (1978)
The Flow of Water Through Orifices (report from 1935) and related correspondence and data.

Pipeline Research Council International

The Pipeline Research Council International, or PRCI has supplied an extensive amount of bibliographic references to the library as a service to the oil and gas industry. A variety of papers are available only for immediate download to PRCI members; members should access this library through the PRIME website in order to unlock the download option on many PDF's.
