The following organizations played a significant role in the creation and maintenance of the Flow Measurement Technical Library.
CEESI initially the developed the Flow Measurement Technical Library in order to disseminate information about fluid measurement issues to the measurement community.
CEESI has worked with a variety of organizations to add downloadable PDFs and bibliographic references to the library.
In addition, a variety of papers published by CEESI engineers have been added including publications on:
Uncertainty Analysis,
Wet Gas Measurement,
Orifice Meters,
Ultrasonic Meters,
Turbine Meters,
Critical Flow Venturis/Sonic Nozzle Meters,
Statistical Process Control (SPC), and
Gas Flow Meters & Measurement.
The Pipeline Research Council International, or PRCI, has supplied an extensive amount funding and bibliographic references to the library as a service to the oil and gas industry.
A variety of papers are available only for immediate download to PRCI members; members should access this library through the PRIME in order to unlock the download option on many PDFs.
Visit the PRCI website to learn more about the history of PRCI or about PRCI membership benefits.
The International School of Hydrocarbon Measurement, or ISHM, has permitted previous years proceedings to be included in this library; the proceedings for all but the most recent year are all available for download.
In the early 1970's, the organization currently known as ISHM was called the "Southwestern Gas Measurement Short Course".
Early proceedings for the Southwestern Gas Measurement Short Course (includes most of the proceedings before 1969) as well as early proceedings from other organizations have been made available as part of the "ISHM Historical Library", which is part of the Flow Measurement Technical Library. Learn more about ISHM at www.ishm.info.
In November 2009, ISHM contributed a special collection of documents that included ISHM proceedings from the 1920's through the 1960's; also donated were proceedings from other organizations as well as the November 1935 AGA-ASME Orifice Coefficient Committee report.
These references and (in some cases PDFs) are gathered in a special collection called ISHM Historical Documents.
The North American Fluid Flow Measurement Council, which organizes the International Symposium on Fluid Flow Measurement has also permitted previous proceedings to be included in this library; the proceedings are available for download one year after every symposium. Read more about ISFFM at www.isffm.org.
Papers can currently be downloaded for symposia held in 2006,
2006,
2002,
1999,
1995,
1990, and
1986.
Starting in February 2010, American School of Gas Measurement Technologies (or ASGMT) dramatically expanded the number of proceedings available on the Flow Measurement Technical Library.
In addition, ASGMT has granted permission for library users to download all but the most recent proceedings.
All of the proceedings, including the most recent will be available on the ASGMT website (www.asgmt.com).
ASGMT used to be called the "Gulf Coast Measurement Short Course".
The Appalachian Gas Measurement Short Course is an annual event that focuses on educating the natural gas community in North America. The AGMSC granted permission for library users in the fall 2010 to download all but the most recent proceedings. Learn more about the AGMSC at The www.agmsc.com.
In the fall 2009, references from nearly forty years of papers presented at the American Gas Association (or AGA) were added to the library. In the winter 2010, addition AGA references were added for papers that can be purchased through the AGA website. For more information about AGA, visit www.aga.org.
A full list of proceedings that have been included in this library are available at: www.ceesi.com/aga
CEESI would like to acknowledge and thank Steve Stark of Stark & Associates, Inc. for contributed a large quantity of International School of Hydrocarbon Measurement (ISHM) proceedings to this technical library.
His hope was that information in the proceedings would benefit the flow measurement community, and specifically those within the oil and gas industry.
The Western Gas Measurement Short Course (WGMSC) purpose is to educate personnel of the gas industry to gas measurement and gas control.
Starting the 1980's, under the name WGMSC, WGMSC have been held every two years in May with an emphasis on a host company; which rotates through the representatives of the General Committee. Prior to the 1980's the organization was
known as the Pacific Northwest Gas Measurement and Control Short Course.
WGMSC seeks to improve the quality of service, advance the knowledge and learning, and provide a benefit to the gas industry. To read more about the WGMSC, visit www.wgmsc.org.
Acadiana Flow Measurement Society
The Acadiana Flow Measurement Society (AGMS) granted permission to allow documents from its technical library to be a part of the Flow Measurement Technical Library in April 2011 in the interest of benefiting the larger flow measurement community. To read more about the Acadiana Flow Measurement Society, visit www.afms.org.
Additional Contributors
CEESI would like to thank Dr. Tom Arnberg for contributing a variety of flow measurement related documents to this library.
In addition, CEESI would also like to thank Steve Gage for contributing numerous volumes of the Southern Gas Measurement Short Course (later known as ISHM) as well as additional rare flow measurement volumes.
CEESI was proud to accept a collection of documents called the Wayne Fling Collection as part of the Flow Measurement Technical Library;
this collection further preserves information about the history of the industry.
