Overview of Library Features

Documents and references can be found through a simple "wikipedia" or "google" style search. Advanced search features also allow users to find documents by author(s) last name, publishing organization's name, document category, title, publication year, document number and other keys. In addition, users can browse document references by year for many major flow measurement related organizations.

As a result of agreements CEESI has made with several organizations, thousands of documents are available for immediate, free download. PRCI members that access the library through the PRCI project management information system "PRIME" have the additional benefit of downloading additional documents that are only available as bibliographic references to the general public. In cases where the publishing organization's name is known (which is the vast majority of cases), a link to the publishing organization's website is listed with the document reference regardless of whether the document is available or not for immediate download.

Currently, nearly ninety percent of documents have been placed in one or more of the following categories:

  • Analysis and Measurement
  • CFV / Sonic Nozzle Meter
  • Coriolis Meter
  • Gas Chromatograph
  • Natural Gas
  • Orifice Meter
  • Positive Displacement Meter
  • Turbine Meter
  • Ultrasonic Meter
  • Uncertainty Analysis
  • Vortex Meter
  • Wet Gas / Multiphase

Downloading PDF Documents

In most cases, only bibliographic references are included in the library. Users must contact the publishing organization or a physical college/public library to obtain documents for which permission to download has not been granted to CEESI or PRCI. CEESI has reached agreements with several organizations to allow library users to download documents for free as PDF files directly from the library site without needing to visit the publishing organizations website. Additionally, PRCI members who access the library via PRIME can download additional documents that are only available to the general public as bibliographic references.

Additional Features

The following are additional features of the library. Nearly all of these features were made possible through funding from PRCI.
  • Documents are categorized based on keywords found within the title and abstract/introductionthese keywords and categories are occasionally updated and expanded as needed.
  • Next to the organization name of a given document reference, a link to the publishing organizations website is listed (in most cases).
  • Users have the option to send document references via email using the "Email Reference" link below each reference.
  • Users can request a change be made to a document reference using the "Report Issue" link below each reference; suggestions for reference changes are evaluated then implemented (if appropriate) by CEESI staff.

Pipeline Research Council International

The Pipeline Research Council International, or PRCI has supplied an extensive amount of bibliographic references to the library as a service to the oil and gas industry. A variety of papers are available only for immediate download to PRCI members; members should access this library through the PRIME website in order to unlock the download option on many PDF's.
